About the conference

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

In light of the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and with due regard to the safety and health of potential participants and the community in general, we are postponing the 2020 American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Northeast Section Conference, originally scheduled for April 16-18, 2020 at the University of Bridgeport. Further information about rescheduling the conference and the new dates will be communicated to all conference participants and the authors of student papers and posters, and professional papers and lightening talk presenters.

The Faculty and Student submissions for the conference will be archived and utilized to populate the conference program and to produce the conference proceedings when the new conference dates are announced.

The American Society for Engineering Education Northeast Section (ASEE-NE) invites papers, presentations, and posters for our annual conference hosted at the University of Bridgeport from April 16th thru 18th, 2020. The conference theme of “The Path to Impactful Innovation in 21st Century Engineering Education” focuses on trends and changing landscape of engineering education.

Professional Papers:

Authors are invited to submit full-length papers describing significant and
innovative research contributions in the field of engineering and education.
Accepted and presented papers will submitted to IEEE Xplore®. Full details of submission procedures and requirements for authors of accepted papers are available at http://www.ubconferences.org.

The Student Poster:

Competition provides an excellent forum for students to present their work
in an informal and interactive setting. Each poster will be judged based on
technical rigor, poster format, and the student’s ability to convey the poster
content to the judges through an oral presentation. Monetary awards will be given for the top three graduate/undergraduate posters as well as top three K-12 posters.

Exhibition Opportunities:

 The Conference exhibit area will provide your company or organization
with the opportunity to inform and display your latest products, services,
equipment, books, journals, and publications to attendees from around the

Lightning Talks:

In addition to peer-reviewed presentations, ASEE_NE2020 welcomes
presentations from diverse sources including industry, academia, and K-12 educators. Lightning talks typically present work in progress, discuss new ideas and help establish opportunities for collaborative work.
